PYATIGORSK, January 5 Four people were injured as a result of a collision between three cars in the Mineralny Vody district of the Stavropol Territory, the regional state traffic inspectorate reports.
According to the department, the accident occurred today at about 12.30 Moscow time on the 324th kilometer of the Caucasus highway.
““The driver of the Lada Priora car chose an unsafe speed, did not maintain a safe distance, and as a result caused a collision with those driving ahead Mercedes cars, and then with a Chevrolet Lacetti, the driver of which was making a left turn. The driver and three passengers of the domestic car were taken to the hospital, they were prescribed outpatient treatment,” the department said in a statement on its Telegram channel.
It is noted that there was a four-month-old child in the Priora, who “was not injured due to compliance with the transportation rules – the baby was transported in a baby carrier.”
““Behind the wheel of the Priora was a 28-year-old resident of the Andropovsky district, who was sober and had been prosecuted 6 times for violating traffic rules over the past 2 years,” the department added.
An investigation into the car accident is underway.
