Ghislaine Maxwell with the Duke of York and Virginia Giuffre in 2001. Maxwell's lawyers claim the Daily Mail journalist «encouraged» Ms Giuffre to «make up stories.» about the royal family
Ghislaine Maxwell accused a British journalist of helping Virginia Giuffre “concoct” and “fabricate” sexual assault allegations against Prince Andrew.
Second batch of unsealed documents relating to Jeffrey Epstein and Maxwell's sexual misconduct allegations were made public on Thursday after a US judge ordered the release of thousands of pages of files in the 2015 lawsuit.
The latest release includes a statement from Maxwell's lawyers calling on Sharon Churcher, a former Mail on Sunday journalist , force him to testify as part of the case.
Ms Churcher first interviewed Ms Giuffre, who had accused Prince Andrew of abusing her as a teenager in 2011.
Maxwell's team said Ms Churcher had «encouraged» Mr -zhu Giuffre “fabricate stories about Prince Andrew” and “invent stories about Alan Dershowitz.”
Mr. Dershowitz is a lawyer and former Harvard Law professor.
The lawyers cited the correspondence email between the two women in which Ms. Churcher gives Ms. Giuffre advice about ghostwriters and agents for her book “The Playboy Billionaires Club.”

The 70-page emails, which were also released on Thursday, include an exchange from May 2011 in which Ms Giuffre asks Ms Churcher for help remembering details of her abuse at the hands of Epstein.
< p>“I wanted to put the names of these assholes, oops, I meant to say pedophiles [sic] that J.A. sent me to,” Ms. Giuffre wrote.Ms Churcher replied: «Don't.» forget about Alan Dershowitz… JE's buddy and lawyer… good name for your presentation as he represented Claus von Bulow and there was a movie made about the case… the title was «Reversal of Fortune».
“We all suspect Alan is a pedophile, and although there is no evidence of this, you probably met him when he was hanging with JE.”
Mr Dershowitz has denied all wrongdoing, and in 2022 Ms Giuffre said last year that she might have been mistaken in naming him as one of the men she was forced to have sex with as a teenager.

In another exchange from 2011, Ms Churcher gives Ms Giuffre advice on how to back up the claims she was “given” to the Duke.
“Here it is: There were photographs of you from this trip, taken in Granada and London, and you remembered how you went to Paris and Morocco,” she wrote.
“I found this route in the magazines (you landed at Luton Airport near London). Also, Joanna [Sjoberg] remembered how Andrew groped her one Easter at the mansion in New York, and that Ghislaine put you both on her lap. You had the same memories, and just before Easter in '01 there was a flight to New York that I found in the journals.»
So far, about 60 of the approximately 250 documents in connection with this case have been published. , and more could be revealed as early as this evening.
There is no suggestion that Mr. Clinton did anything wrong, and the Duke of York categorically denies all allegations.
G- Ms Churcher told The Telegraph: «These allegations are absurd and if they were not set out in court documents they would be defamatory.»
«The whole conspiracy theory is absurd. I stand by my original reporting and not what other people say about it.»
She said a team of journalists contributed to the original stories about Epstein's abuse and they were «thoroughly researched.»
