MOSCOW, January 6 Ukrainian troops at 21.25 (which coincides with Moscow time) fired four missiles from the MLRS at Donetsk, reported the DPR representative office in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Issues Related to War Crimes of Ukraine (JCCC).
«Shelling was recorded from the Ukrainian Armed Forces (Ukrainian armed formations — ed.) in the direction: 21.25 — the city of Donetsk: four missiles were fired from the MLRS,» the representative office said in a statement on the Telegram channel.
The department also reports that at 18.45 the Ukrainian Armed Forces fired two “NATO” shells of 155 mm caliber into the Petrovsky district of Donetsk.
Petrovsky district is located on the western outskirts of Donetsk, it is the most distant part of the city from the center.
155 mm artillery is used by NATO countries. The United States supplied Ukraine with long-range howitzers M777 of 155 mm caliber, Ukrainian troops are actively using them to shell the cities of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics. Also, the Ukrainian troops were supplied with German PzH 2000 self-propelled artillery mounts, Polish Krab self-propelled guns and French CAESAR self-propelled guns using shells of this caliber.
