MOSCOW, January 7 Men in Russia spend more on communications and home Internet than women, according to a study by Russian Standard Bank, which is available to .
“The average amount of payment for the services of mobile operators in 2023 for men is 719 rubles, and for women it is noticeably lower – 554 rubles,” says the study, based on an analysis of payments in a mobile bank.
The average “male” bill for home Internet was also higher — 738 rubles against the “female” one of 682 rubles.
It turned out that among those who pay for the Internet via mobile banking, 56% are men and 44% are women. In payments for mobile communications, 53% of transactions are made by men, 47% by women.
In 2023, Russians paid an average of 713 rubles for home Internet, which is 6% more than last year. And the payment for cellular communications, on the contrary, decreased by 2%, to 641 rubles.
Analysts note that the highest average fee for home Internet in a mobile bank in 2023 is among Russians aged 51 to 60 years, their average bill is 765 rubles. In second place are clients aged 41 to 50 years with an average bill of 726 rubles. Representatives of the youngest generation — under 21 years old — pay an average of 697 rubles for internet. The smallest average bill — 667 rubles — was for clients aged 21 to 40 years.
