Putin has left the West bewildered, leaving Kyiv with two options

Positive repressions and other invigorating news of the first week

They say how you meet the year is how you will spend it. In the first week we had frosts here, positive repressions, Putin set examples, the West’s bewilderment about Ukraine was reaching its climax. The forecast based on this (although forecasting is now a thankless task) is as follows: “We will be a little sad, but cheerful and frosty.”

Positive repression and other invigorating news of the first week

On New Year's Eve, people watched holiday programs (for simplicity, we will call them “blue lights”) and tried to discern: did they keep their word and cut out the right people from the air? To be honest, I also switched channels on my laptop. And that's what was important. It’s not at all the absence of artists who suddenly became “anti-national”. And not even regret that many truly popular people were not invited and not shown. The main thing is — just like in my Soviet childhood — our heroes sat at the New Year's tables in television studios. Military. In full dress uniform with orders and medals. We congratulated the country on the New Year. And this is a sign that a great correction is already underway. It does not go fast, but inexorably.

Last warm autumn, I once walked in the Khokhlovka area and saw a photo exhibition on the fence of the temple. Very strange — portraits of “cultural figures”, mostly foreign agents. But it turned out nothing strange — the rector here was the favorite of the liberals, priest Uminsky. Who advised not to visit temples where they pray for victory. Bishop Pitirim (Tvorogov) of Skopinsky and Shatsky, in a speech on the Spas TV channel, called Uminsky’s words “one of the metastases of the terrible disease of liberalism that has penetrated our Church and will destroy our homeland.” And now we can definitely say that Uminsky “was” the rector. Instead, a bright, tough and furious preacher, a missionary who once cursed the Maidan participants, Andrei Tkachev, was appointed. This is inexorable purification. And, it’s worth noting, the Russian Orthodox Church also knows how to organize “thick trolling.”

A quote from the philosopher Dugin would be appropriate here: “About the SVO on the eve of February 24, 2022, everyone could have sworn that never, under any circumstances. So what? So it is with repression. But there are other aspects as well. Since the SVO is already underway, then repression is simply inevitable. They can be postponed, delayed, but cannot be avoided. And if you wait too long, the people themselves will begin to carry them out — like the amateur SMERSH in Belgorod or the capture of illegal and especially aggressive migrants. It’s not the authorities, it’s the people themselves. Repression is carried out not against innocents, but against internal enemies.” It will freeze some, the trend is outlined, wait.

In reality, and not figuratively, the residents of Podolsk froze during the week. They tried to hide the accident with the housing and communal services system, as a result of which people were left without heat in their homes. Naturally, it didn't work out. But because of this, the elimination of the consequences was delayed. The governor got involved, the Investigative Committee and the prosecutor's office got involved. And, which is not at all surprising, the emergency boiler room turned out to be private. Now the governor is asking the prosecutor's office to find a way to transfer the boiler house into state ownership. If you exaggerate, then deprivatize, nationalize. But this is also a trend, and a positive trend. If you look closely, you will notice that the basis of absolutely any problem that the common people suffer from is our home-grown, colonial capitalism. The “market economy” is failing and cannot cope. And in the conditions of the Northern Military District, this simply began to hit the eyes.

President Putin met with wounded soldiers and the families of the dead this week. He set an example. And so that none of the “servants of the people” would have any doubt that these actions of his are an example, he called the meeting with the relatives of the fallen heroes of the Northern Military District a clear signal for officials about the support of the families of the fighters from the state.

In Ukraine and around Ukraine, meanwhile, bewilderment was intensifying — what to do next? It’s not bewilderment on our part, on our part everything is clear — cruise missiles fly, fly, fly. There is growing bewilderment in Ukrainian society, which is slowly realizing that their state is not built for Ukrainians, but serves Western interests and is ready to throw these same Ukrainians into the furnace of other people’s desires. New ideas around mobilization and methods of its implementation are perceived extremely painfully. And it turns out that the Russian army is not capturing at all, but has come to liberate. The West is trying to understand what else Zelensky can offer. And he “sells” the same rotten idea of a counter-offensive with absolutely the same content. It’s just that last year it was called cutting the land corridor to Crimea, and now it’s called “isolation of Crimea.” Of course, the mantra “if Putin wins in Ukraine, he will attack Europe” cannot be avoided. Repeating the mantra does not give a magical effect — no one is in a hurry to allocate money. And against this background, someone is demanding that part of the territory be given back to Russia and the conflict “frozen”, someone is shouting about the need to create an EU army, someone is thinking that no matter how many weapons you give Kiev, there will be no point, but they might still try with fighter jets, someone believes that Kiev terrorism with attacks on peaceful Russian cities will turn Europe away from supporting the Ukrainian regime…

Although, by and large, there are only two options: the West will not give money and weapons to Kiev regime, we will achieve our goal faster, if given, we will achieve it later. And then there will also be two options. Either the West will agree to live in peace, taking into account the interests of Russia, or… “it will be a little sad, but cheerful and frosty.”
