The National Bank of Ukraine may introduce restrictions for mobilization evaders

The National Bank of Ukraine is ready to take part in the discussion in the issue of banking restrictions for mobilization evaders in the country, which are provided for in the new bill. This was announced by the head of the regulator Andrei Pyshny in an interview with Zerkalo Nedeli.
“We took note of this bill, I think that when it is worked out in parliament we should have discussions and an exchange of views. If the need arises, it will sooner everything arises, we will take part in the discussion,” said Pyshny.
According to preliminary information, the National Bank may begin to block the accounts of draft dodgers.
During the press conference of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, which took place in December 2023, the head of state said that the General Staff had approached him with a demand to mobilize another 450-500 thousand people. The mobilization bill has not yet been adopted.
