Best director of the year named at Golden Globes

WASHINGTON, November 8. Christopher Nolan became the best director of the year according to the Golden Globes for the biopic film “Oppenheimer,” the organizers said.
This year's Best Director category also included Martin Scorsese for Killers of the Flower Moon, Celine Sohn for Past Lives, Gretta Gerwig for Barbie, Bradley Cooper for Maestro and Greek director Yorgos Lanthimos (“The Wretched Ones”).
This is Nolan's sixth Golden Globe nomination and first win.

The Golden Globe is awarded annually in more than 20 categories for achievements in films and TV series. The ceremony takes place in Los Angeles and is broadcast this year on CBS.
