A few days ago, the Czech company published the first official teaser of the updated bestseller, which demonstrates some of the appearance features of the future new product.
The modern history of Octavia began in 1996, when production of the first generation model began. Today, the fourth generation of the car is already on the assembly line, which premiered at the end of 2019. The time has long come for a planned restyling, and earlier prototypes of the updated model were already seen on the roads during testing. And last week, the first teaser was published, which shows the features of the front part of the restyled version.

The main feature of the new product, apparently, will be new headlights with an original design of LED running lights. The front optics as a whole will retain their outlines, however, the horizontal stripes of dimensions will now be located along the upper border of the headlights, and their internal diagonal segments will “go out” beyond the blocks and stretch along the radiator grille. The grille itself will most likely not change in shape, but it will receive new crossbars in the style of other new products from the company. There will also be a new bumper with a wide horizontal air intake at the bottom. Another change visible in the teaser is the illuminated campaign logo. There are no images of the rear part yet, so for now we can only assume that the restyled version will receive updated graphics of LED lights in the lights, which can now be made in the form of a dotted line, and a modified rear bumper.

The restyling will certainly affect the interior, where we can expect the appearance of a new multimedia system with larger tablets (the current model has 8- and 10-inch screens). There is no confirmed information about technical changes yet; most likely, the engine range will remain largely the same. The current Octavia is offered in Europe with a petrol turbocharged 3-cylinder 1.0 TSI, as well as 4-cylinder 1.5 TSI and 2.0 TSI. In addition, there is a 2.0 TDI turbodiesel and a rechargeable hybrid Octavia iV, which after restyling can switch from a 1.4 TSI to a 1.5 TSI engine.
