WASHINGTON, January 8 Yorgos Lanthimos's “The Lost and Lost” won a Golden Globe in the category “Best Comedy/Musical” The 81st awards ceremony takes place in Los Angeles on Sunday and airs on CBS.
Air: The Big Leap by Ben Affleck, American Fiction by Cord Jefferson, The Leftovers by Alexander Payne and May December by Todd Haynes were also nominated.
The Golden Globe awards are presented annually in more than 20 categories. The award was established by the Hollywood Foreign Journalists Association in the 1940s. Last year the association was reorganized, but the award continued to exist as a business company. The winners are still chosen by foreign journalists who write about the film industry.
