The once popular SUV in Russia has had its appearance slightly tweaked, and the list of standard equipment has been expanded. The technology is the same.
In Europe, the Dacia Duster crossover entered a new, third generation at the end of 2023, the price has already been announced there, although “old-world” dealers will begin accepting orders in the spring. Later this year, production of the “third” Duster will start in Turkey under the Renault brand. However, in some countries, the “second” Renault Duster cross is not going to retire yet, but to ensure that interest in it does not fade away, they decided to refresh the SUV with a Renault diamond. It is curious that such a Duster has long been exposed in the Middle East and Africa, but the official premiere was held by the Brazilian division of the brand, and only today.

So, the old Renault Duster has changed in the likeness of the “second” restyled Dacia Duster of 2021: the Renault model received similar diode running lights in the form of “Greeks”. In addition, in Brazil, the crossover also received taillights from its brother (they are also with “Greeks”), although, for example, in South Africa the reforms did not affect the rear. Well, there is now less chrome on the radiator grille of the Brazilian version.

As before, in South America, the Renault Duster has an optional “off-road” package (such an SUV is captured in “live” brand photos), it includes a more massive front bumper, additional foglights, protective linings on the wheel arches, sills and doors.

In the cabin, there is a wider armrest between the front seats, the graphics of the instruments have changed, and in addition, all versions have received a couple of additional USB connectors for rear passengers. And the Brazilian Duster now has six airbags by default (previously there were only front ones). However, in this country the crossover has only two trim levels. The list of equipment for the basic Duster Intense Plus also includes 16-inch wheels, a multimedia system with an 8-inch screen, air conditioning, a rear view camera and cruise control. The top version of Iconic Plus has 17-inch wheels, climate control, all-round cameras, wireless charging for a smartphone and orange decor.

The technology was not changed. In Brazil, the Renault Duster is offered with a 1.6 naturally aspirated engine, which traditionally for the country is powered by both gasoline (118 hp) and ethanol (120 hp), plus you can choose a crossover with a 1.3 TCe turbo engine (162 hp . on gasoline and 170 hp on ethanol). The naturally aspirated engine is paired with a five-speed manual or CVT; the turbo engine is powered only by a CVT. The Brazilian cross is exclusively front-wheel drive.

The price of the updated “second” Renault Duster is from 122,290 to 153,890 local reais, which is equivalent to approximately 2.2 million — 2.8 million rubles at the current exchange rate. Additional payment for the “off-road” package is 1,800 reais (about 33,000 rubles). For Brazil, the crossover is produced locally.
