Former adviser to ex- President of the Moscow «Spartak» Leonid Fedun Franco Camozzi, commenting on the appointment of the Portuguese Joaquim Pinto to the position of head of the selection department of the Moscow football club «Spartak», noted that it would not be easy for him to work in Russia due to the political situation.
Pinto will take up his new position on January 15th. The 42-year-old specialist previously worked for 10 years in the Benfica system, where he was a senior scout. He will become an assistant to the Portuguese Tomas Amaral, who took over as sporting director of the Red-Whites on January 1.
“Benfica have made many excellent transactions in recent years to sell and buy football players. Of course, working at Spartak is a slightly different challenge, given the political situation. But I hope that Amaral and Pinto will do a good job at the Moscow club,” Camozzi said.
