It is expected that the new product, which will become the second model of the Italian brand that has returned to service, will appear in 2026.
< p>The Lancia brand is currently part of the extensive portfolio of the auto giant Stellantis. It is worth noting that the brand is practically a thing of the past: now its lineup is represented by only one very outdated model — the Ypsilon hatchback. It has been produced since 1995, changed generation in 2011, and the five-door, sold only in Italy, experienced its last noticeable update in 2021.

However, the brand is expecting a quick rebirth: very soon Lancia will introduce a new generation Ypsilon; we remind you that this car will become related to the Opel and Peugeot models. The company released official teasers at the end of last year, and the presentation will take place in early 2024. It is known that the brand will not stop there; the second model of the revived brand will be a crossover.
It is expected that the new SUV will be given the name Lancia Gamma (there was already a model with that name in the brand’s range), and its presentation and appearance on the European market is scheduled for 2026. It is possible that this model will be related to the global Peugeot 408 and the upcoming successor to the Opel Insignia. So far, there is no official information about what such a new product will look like. The designer of the Spanish publication Motor.es offered his own version of the exterior of the future crossover.
Render of Lancia Gamma
It is assumed that the design of the new product, like the next Ypsilon, will be based on the Lancia Pu+Ra HPE concept, which was presented in April last year. Then, as part of the presentation, the company noted that this show car was intended to demonstrate the new corporate style of the revived brand.
Judging by the rendering, the future crossover from the concept will receive head optics in the shape of the letter “Y”, a black insert on the hood with the brand name, as well as a rear roof pillar design with thin horizontal stripes. The car in the image received a body kit made of black glossy plastic around the perimeter of the body, a large air intake at the bottom of the front bumper, traditional exterior mirrors and regular door handles.

It is assumed that the length of the crossover, which is tipped to take the place of the flagship of the Italian brand that has returned to service, will be equal to 4.70 meters. This new product will probably be based on the STLA Medium platform, owned by the auto giant Stellantis.
Lancia Gamma will not have versions with internal combustion engines (including hybrids). The “stuffing” of the crossover will be completely electric. According to preliminary data, the Gamma will have versions with both a single electric motor and a dual-motor unit. Output will likely range from 170 to 450 hp. The estimated maximum range on one charge is 700 km.
