MOSCOW, January 11 Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his condolences on the death of People’s Artist of the USSR, artistic director of the Maly Theater Yuri Solomin, noting that his death is an irreparable loss for national culture and all of Russia; the great actor died, the corresponding telegram was published on the Kremlin website.
Solomin died on January 11 at the age of 89. Farewell to him will be held at the Maly Theater on January 15, after which the artist will be buried at Troekurovskoye Cemetery in Moscow.

«I sincerely share the great grief that has befallen you. The death of Yuri Methodievich Solomin is a heavy, irreparable loss for national culture, for all of Russia. A great actor, a true creator and creator, the keeper of the legendary traditions of Russian classical music, has passed away theater. Selfless, selfless service to his chosen cause, inner dignity, and decency have earned Yuri Solomin the highest recognition and truly national love,» the text of condolences says.
Putin noted that Yuri Solomin is no more , but “his wonderful creative works and the bright memory of this talented, amazingly friendly person remain.”
