Ireland suffer a serious injury with forward Mac Hansen ruled out of the championship.
Hansen will undergo surgery after dislocating his shoulder during the Connacht United Rugby Championship match against Munster.
Defending Six Nations champions Ireland begin their campaign against France in Marseille on February 2, with their final game in Dublin six weeks later.
Hansen, 25, has quickly emerged as a key player. for Ireland, scoring nine tries in 21 Tests since his debut in February 2022.
Meanwhile, Englandwill be without captain Owen Farrell in the Six Nations campaign after he made himself unavailable «to prioritize the mental well-being of himself and his family».
Borthwick's men will face stiff competition from >France. >, whose dreams of home World Cup glory were dashed by eventual champions South Africa in the quarter-finals, and Scotland, who failed to beat either Ireland or South Africa to progress out of their group.
Waleswill also have something to prove after their World Cup quarter-final defeat to Argentina, whileItalywill be hoping to bounce back after failing to get out of their pool.
When will the 2024 Six Nations take place?
The 2024 Six Nations will begin on 2 February 2024 at 20:00 UK time when France host Irish champions.
The last time both teams took to the field at the Stade de France was during the World Cup quarter-finals in October, when they were eliminated from the tournament back-to-back.
p>The traveling Irish fans were among the loudest at the global spectacle, with fans and players shouting the lyrics to The Cranberry' Zombie after every victory. Expect more during the Six Nations as well.
England kick off their tournament against Italy at 2:15 pm (UK time) on 3 February 2024. Borthwick's team are hoping to improve on their previous results at the tournament. Six Nations after finishing fourth in the standings with 10 points, 17 points behind winners Ireland.

This year's matches will continue to be shown on the BBC and ITV in the UK. Live coverage will be available for free on the BBC iPlayer and ITVX apps, and can also be downloaded to mobile or tablet devices.
The long-term future of the Six Nations on free-to-air television remains uncertain after the government rejected calls to add the tournament to a list of sporting events that should be shown for free.
Who are the judges?
Carl Dixon will referee the opening match of next year's Six Nations, which pits 2023 Grand Slam winners Ireland against 2022 champions France.
Eight assistant referees will make their Six Nations debuts, including Scotland's Holly Davidson.
