The first two hybrid models of the Chinese brand should appear at local dealers soon, and the flagship will have to wait until the second half of the year.
JSC MB Rus, part of the Avtodom group, signed a direct distribution agreement with the Seres company: it gave exclusive rights to import and distribute AITO brand cars on the Russian market. Let us remind you that this “celestial” brand is the result of a partnership between Huawei and Seres. It is worth recalling that Seres (formerly SF Motors) is a subsidiary of the Chinese corporation Sokon created in 2016.

MB Rus will bring several models of the brand to the Russian market, including the first-born – the all-wheel drive crossover AITO M5, in fact, it is a restyled version of the Seres SF5. As Kolesa.ru reported earlier, the model is equipped with a hybrid power plant, which is based on a 1.5-liter gasoline turbo engine with a power of 125 hp, which comes complete with two electric motors. The total output of this system is 496 hp and the maximum torque is 675 Nm. The AITO M5 takes 4.6 seconds to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h.

This car is equipped with a battery with a capacity of 40 kWh, while the total range of the hybrid exceeds 1200 km (calculated using the NEDC cycle). The length of the crossover is 4770 mm, width – 1930 mm, height – 1625 mm, and the distance between the axles is 2880 mm. Its interior is designed for five passengers, and the list of equipment includes a set of driver assistants and an infotainment system with the Huawei Harmony operating system. Trunk volume is 369 liters, with the rear seats folded down the figure increases to 776 liters.

Another car that MB Rus will introduce to the Russian market is the AITO M7. The interior of this all-wheel drive crossover is designed for six, while the third row of seats can be folded into a flat floor. This SUV is 5020 mm long, 1945 mm wide, and 1775 mm high. At the same time, its wheelbase is 2820 mm, which is 60 mm less than that of the two-row M5. It was also equipped with a hybrid system with a 1.5-liter turbo engine working in tandem with a pair of electric motors and the same battery. It has a total installation power of 449 hp, it reaches the first “hundred” in 4.8 seconds, and the total range is 1100 km.

In the second half of 2024, the local line will be replenished with the flagship AITO M9. This Chinese new product on the domestic market was completely declassified at the end of last year. The overall length of this SUV is 5230 mm, width – 1999 mm, height – 1800 mm, and wheelbase – 3110 mm. The three-row interior of the M9 is also designed for six passengers. The list of its features includes an interior “like a Mercedes”: it can have up to nine screens, three of them are integrated into the front panel: the diagonal of the instrument panel is 12.3 inches, the central touchscreen is 15.6 inches, and the entertainment screen for the front passenger is 15.6 inches. 16 inches.

In China, two versions are announced for AITO M9 – plug-in hybrid and all-electric. In the first case, the system includes a 1.5-liter gasoline turbo engine with a power of 152 hp, which operates as a generator, and a pair of electric motors rotate the wheels. The maximum total output of the installation is 496 hp. (675 Nm). The capacity of the traction battery can be either 42 or 52 kWh. The range on one charge (without turning on the internal combustion engine) is 225 and 275 km according to the CLTC cycle, respectively; in hybrid mode with a fully charged tank – 1362 and 1402 km, respectively (when calculated using the CLTC cycle).

The all-electric version has all-wheel drive and a dual-motor setup. Its maximum total output is 530 hp and torque is 673 Nm. The capacity of the traction battery is 100 kWh, and the range without recharging is 630 km (according to the same CLTC cycle). The hybrid crossover takes 4.9 seconds to accelerate from zero to “hundreds”, while the electric crossover takes 4.3 seconds. The maximum speed (regardless of the modification) is 200 km/h.
The press service of MB Rus noted that all models supplied to the Russian market under the agreement will be certified, and added , that “OTTS was received for the supply of cars to the territory of the Customs Union.”
