MOSCOW, January 17 Revenue of the 100 largest Russian IT companies will grow at least 2.5 times, to 5.3 trillion rubles, thanks to the national project “Data Economy,” said Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko at the international exhibition and forum “Russia”.
In October, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the launch of a new national project “Data Economy”. Within its framework, key technological areas will be developed, including quantum technologies, cloud services, artificial intelligence and platform technology solutions, and 10 federal projects will be launched to implement the national project.
“We expect that thanks to this national project, the revenue of the top 100 IT companies will increase by at least 2.5 times — that is, there is something to fight for, something for respected shareholders to invest in — and will reach 5.3 trillion rubles,” said Chernyshenko.
He also noted that Russian companies do not need to “confine themselves” only to the domestic market. “We will separately work on helping you expand your solutions abroad, but, first of all, our closest neighbors: the EAC, the CIS, BRICS and so on,” the Deputy Prime Minister said.
According to him, in 2023, the digital maturity of economic sectors in Russia was more than 74%, and it was possible to transfer all planned socially significant services online. In turn, IT costs exceeded 540 billion rubles.
