MOSCOW, January 19 A criminal case for the provision of unsafe services was opened due to an incident at a ski resort in Yakhroma near Moscow, reported on Friday in Telegram -channel of the State Investigative Directorate of the Russian Investigative Committee for the Moscow region.
Earlier, emergency services reported that the ski lift with people stopped due to a technical malfunction at the Stepanovo ski resort in the urban district of Dmitrov, Moscow region. Later, the press service of the city district reported that as a result of the funicular stop, 37 people remained in the cabins; now rescuers have already removed all those stuck. According to preliminary data, three people were injured, a source in the emergency services said.
«Based on this fact, the investigative department for the city of Dmitrov of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Moscow Region opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (provision of services that do not meet security requirements)», — the message says.
It is specified that investigators and criminologists are currently carrying out investigative actions aimed at establishing what happened. Information about the victims is being clarified.
