DOM.RF has opened financing for a project to update the outdoor lighting system in Khimki near Moscow, which is being implemented using the mechanism of infrastructure bonds. The size of the first tranche was 120.5 million rubles.
In total, DOM.RF will invest more than 500 million rubles in the modernization of street lighting. It is planned to use these funds to install almost 18 thousand lamps, build new lines, and equip about 260 food outlets. The project also provides for the creation of a situation center that will allow real-time monitoring of the state of the power supply system and prompt response to outages.
“The first funds will be used to pay for the contract for the supply of lamps. These will be modern high-tech and energy-efficient devices, the installation of which will make the streets of Khimki brighter and safer. The project will create new standards for the urban environment and provide comfortable living conditions for 52 thousand families who will move to new residential areas in the city district,” said Alexander Aksakov, director of the Infrastructure Bonds division of DOM.RF.
The modernization of the street lighting system under a concession will be carried out by the Svetogor group of companies. The work is scheduled to be completed in the fall of 2024. According to estimates, the implementation of the project will stimulate housing construction in Khimki and will lead to the commissioning of about 2.6 million square meters. m of new housing.
