PERM, January 20 A petition demanding the dismissal of a Russian Railways conductor who threw Twix the cat out of a train in Kirov was signed by more than 57 thousand people, according to data on the website Change.org.
It is clarified that the woman “deliberately threw the cat out at a deserted station where people could not help him,” as a result the animal died. There are more than 57.5 thousand signatures on the electronic page. On Saturday, the appeal, created on January 19, was signed by almost 20 thousand people.
A petition has also been created on Change.org to initiate a criminal case against the Russian Railways conductor. This appeal has more than 20 thousand signatures.
On Saturday, the owner of the cat Twix, who was thrown out of the train, reported the death of the animal and promised to do everything to ensure that those responsible were punished. He also thanked everyone who helped search for the pet and spread information. According to volunteers, Twix was found dead a kilometer from the place where he was dropped off from the carriage.
About 300 people were searching for the cat. The chat created by volunteers on the Telegram channel had more than eight thousand participants on Saturday afternoon. Many of them expressed condolences to the cat’s owners.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that they would not initiate a criminal case for arbitrariness after the incident with the animal.
