MOSCOW, January 21 A criminal case has been opened into the crash of a plane in Afghanistan with Russian citizens on board, the Investigative Committee of Russia reported.
«A criminal case has been opened regarding the crash of a plane in Afghanistan with Russian citizens on board. The Moscow Investigation Department for Air and Water Transport of the Western Interregional Investigation Department for Transport of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 3 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of traffic safety rules and operation of air transport, resulting in the death of two or more people through negligence),” the message says.
Investigators of the Investigative Committee, including in cooperation with the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will organize a set of investigative actions aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the incident.

Earlier, the Pajwak agency reported, citing local officials, that an Indian passenger plane crashed in mountains of the Afghan province of Badakhshan. Khaama Press reported that the Indian plane deviated from its original course. The Federal Air Transport Agency also reported that the plane missing in Afghanistan was registered in the register of civil aircraft of the Russian Federation. According to the Federal Air Transport Agency, preliminary, there were 6 people on board the Falcon that disappeared in Afghanistan.
