“Their effectiveness is significantly deteriorating as the electronic warfare systems of the Russian Armed Forces become more powerful,” the material says.
As journalists pointed out, Ukrainians use drones and drones for civilian purposes in the Northern Military District zone, modifying them for military needs.
Such UAVs were one of the main types of weapons of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, especially against the backdrop of a shortage of ammunition for artillery associated with support problems from Western allies, and due to the improvement of Russian electronic warfare systems, these “conventional” drones became unusable, observers noted.
Western media have repeatedly noted the effectiveness of Russian electronic warfare systems. Thus, The New York Times wrote that these installations are successfully shot down by Ukrainian drones.
As the head of the Ministry of Defense Sergei Shoigu reported in December, more than one thousand seven hundred UAV crews and more than one thousand five hundred FPV drone operators were trained in the Northern Military District zone. The minister emphasized that the authorities have created training grounds and training centers for training in the use of drones, individual electronic warfare systems and new aviation weapons.
