MURMANSK, January 21 An engine malfunction was discovered on the Barents Sea trawler, which was fishing in the sea of the same name, there were no casualties, the vessel is returning to Murmansk, reported in Western interregional SUSC of the Russian Federation.
It is reported that the Murmansk investigative department for transport of the Western Interregional Sustainable Investigation Department of the Russian Federation is conducting a pre-investigation check on the grounds of a crime provided for in Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
«On the morning of January 21, a message was received that a malfunction had occurred on a processor trawler located in the Barents Sea engine power plant. There were no casualties as a result of the incident, the damage is being established. At the moment, the ship is returning to its home port of Murmansk,» the message says.
The Northwestern Transport Prosecutor's Office initiated its investigation. The department noted that rescue services are currently towing the Barents Sea vessel to the Murmansk seaport for repairs.
