The Russian brand Evolute was created by Motorinvest in 2022. Initially, it was completely “green”: only fully electric vehicles were produced under it. Their production is established at the facilities of a plant located in the Lipetsk region. As Kolesa.ru reported earlier, all Evolutes produced today use Dongfeng models or other brands associated with the Chinese company as “donors.”

Currently, the Evolute lineup includes the i-Pro sedan, the i-Joy crossover and the i-Sky SUV. Several more new products are currently being prepared for the imminent start of sales, including the seven-seat crossover i-Space, which was announced in December 2023. It is based on a Chinese model, which is known in the domestic market under the names Dongfeng Fengon E5 and Landian E5. It is worth noting that Landian is a sub-brand of Seres (remember, Seres is owned by Sokon, which has a joint venture with Dongfeng).
As the Evolute press service said, the overall length of the seven-seater crossover is 4760 mm, and the distance between its axles is 2785 mm. The full third row of seats can be folded in a 50/50 ratio and can form a flat floor with luggage compartment. The middle row has adjustments in two directions, in addition, it can fold in a 40/60 ratio. In this case, the total volume of cargo space is 2125 liters. The manufacturer also noted that the model is adapted to Russian operating conditions — it has a mode for driving in snow, and the ground clearance of the i-Space crossover is 180 mm.
Unlike other completely “green” Evolutes, i-Space is equipped with a hybrid power plant. The crossover is driven by a 178-horsepower electric motor, its maximum torque is 300 Nm. The system also includes a traction battery with a capacity of 17.52 kWh, which is powered by a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine with a capacity of 110 hp. As the company said, the total output of the installation is 287 hp, and its maximum torque is 435 Nm.
The Evolute i-Space has only front-wheel drive. This crossover needs 7.4 seconds to accelerate from zero to “hundreds”. According to the manufacturer's calculations, fuel consumption is 5.5 liters per 100 km. When driving on electric power alone, the range is 87 km. The equipment of the new hybrid product includes a panoramic roof, a sliding sunroof, all-LED head optics and lights, an illuminated logo and original 19-inch wheels. Also on the list are the Huawei HiCar infotainment system with a 12.3-inch touchscreen, support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging for gadgets and a sound system with 12 speakers.
More Evolute i -Space was equipped with a collision warning system when reversing, an assistant notifying about rear cross traffic, blind spot monitoring, a lane change assistant, a built-in video recorder, a set of all-round cameras, a safe door opening function, rain and light sensors.
