With the participation of DOM.RF, about 5.6 thousand apartments are being built in 9 out of 11 regions of the Far East under the “Affordable Rental Housing in the Far Eastern Federal District” program. The Development Institute allocated 37 billion rubles for these purposes.
To date, the state company has financed the construction of 5,557 apartments with a total area of more than 230 thousand square meters. m in the Amur, Magadan, Sakhalin regions, Transbaikal, Kamchatka, Primorsky and Khabarovsk territories, the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug. Two buildings in Vladivostok and Anadyr with 82 apartments were already occupied at the end of last year.
“Investments in the development of the Far East involve the creation of new jobs for qualified personnel who are planned to be recruited to work in including from the central regions of Russia. One of the key issues for residents of this macro-region is comfortable living conditions. The presidential program, which is being implemented jointly with federal ministries and regions, is designed to solve this problem — to give people the opportunity to move into fully ready-to-move-in apartments with all the necessary furniture and appliances,” noted Veronika Yanushkevich, director for rental housing development at DOM.RF.
The “Affordable Rental Housing in the Far Eastern Federal District” program was launched at the initiative of Russian President Vladimir Putin. In total, it is planned to build 10 thousand new rental apartments for young professionals, students, as well as other categories of citizens, which will be determined by the constituent entities of the Far Eastern Federal District. The government of the country has allocated 87 billion rubles for these purposes.
Rent will be affordable due to special financing conditions and subsidized rates from the federal and regional budgets. For citizens it will be approximately 1/4 of the average market level.
