The Ministry of Internal Affairs told how Ukrainian special services recruit Russians

MOSCOW, January 23 Ukraine collects data from open sources for “investigations”, recruiting Russians through Telegram channels, said the representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation Irina Volk.
“The Ukrainian side is now placing a big bet on the internal destabilization of Russia and terrorist attacks on our territory, and therefore the schemes for involving Russian citizens in illegal activities are quite sophisticated,” Volk said in her Telegram channel.

A department representative noted that Ukrainian intelligence services create and disguise Telegram channels as OSINT projects. “They are based on the concept of collecting data from open sources for “investigations.”
“»Using “gamification” techniques in such Telegram channels, involving them in game tasks, attackers, in essence, recruit citizens, putting them in front of intelligence tasks to collect sensitive information about the Russian defense potential,» Volk warned.
Collection and transfer, on the instructions of foreign intelligence or a person acting in its interests, of information for use against the security of the Russian Federation is qualified as espionage (Article 276 of the Criminal Code RF). The article provides for liability in the form of imprisonment from 10 to 20 years.
