Cars of the American brand were left with a six-speed manual transmission, and as an alternative, a 10-speed automatic transmission is available. The V6 and V8 engines remain the same.
The American brand Cadillac introduced the CT5 sedan in 2019, it replaced the mid-size CTS sedan. The model has a couple of “charged” versions – CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing. The updated “regular” four-door was presented last September at the Detroit Auto Show. Now it’s the turn of the refreshed versions of the Cadillac CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing. The company's debut was timed to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the V-series.

For the 2025 model year, the “charged” sedans have had their appearance refreshed due to a differently designed front end. The hood with stampings remains the same, but the head optics are now of a complex shape with seemingly “flowing” running lights and the main headlight blocks located above. The radiator grille has become slightly smaller, but in general its shape and mesh pattern remain the same.
< p>The lower part of the front bumper is designed differently with glossy black inserts and integrated central and side air intakes. The inserts are supported by linings of the same black glossy plastic on the sidewalls, and the edge of the trunk lid is still crowned with a similar spoiler. The color palette for four-doors has been revised, now it includes options such as Drift Metallic, Deep Space Metallic and Typhoon Metallic.

The refreshed Cadillac CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing also received their share of new interiors. The main one was the 33-inch curved display, located on the front panel and combining a virtual tidy and a touchscreen infotainment system. Multimedia received modern Google services, a 5G Wi-Fi router, and the developers also updated the electronic driver assistants.
The same physical buttons remained on the steering wheel and central tunnel. It is known that the CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing equipment list includes heated front seats and a new sound system. “Charged” sedans also have the latest version of Super Cruise “semi-autopilot”. It is worth noting that the Blackwing version also includes display backlighting, as well as ventilation and massage functions.

During the update, the four-door did not change the “stuffing”. The Cadillac CT5-V is still equipped with a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine producing 365 hp and a maximum torque of 548 Nm. It is paired with a ten-speed automatic transmission. Optionally, as before, an all-wheel drive system is offered.
In turn, the Cadillac CT5- The V Blackwing is equipped with a 6.2-liter V8 compressor, its maximum output is 677 hp and torque is 892 Nm. It can be paired with either a six-speed manual transmission or a 10-speed automatic transmission. The version with the addition of Blackwing may only have rear-wheel drive.
Production of the updated Cadillac CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing will start this coming summer, production will be established at the same place – at the Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan . Sales will begin later this year.
