MOSCOW, January 24 Comedian and presenter Maxim Galkin* announced on his Instagram page** a concert in Bali after the cancellation of two of his shows in Thailand.
“»Bali! Come» January 27! I’m waiting for my beloved viewers for a new humorous program,” the artist said in a video message.
Before Bali, according to some media reports, Maxim Galkin’s tour program* included concerts in Thailand: in the city of Pattaya on January 24, and also on the island of Phuket on January 25.
However, the stand-ups were canceled by the organizers due to the comedian's political jokes. Now the mention of these shows has disappeared from Galkin's concert website*.
This is not the only time the showman gets into trouble because of his humor. In mid-January, the artist paid a fine of 100 thousand dihrams (approximately 2.4 million rubles) for making negative political comments about Russians at a concert in Dubai.
Maxim Galkin* left Russia last year. He publicly condemned the special operation and moved to Israel with his family.
In September of the same year, the Ministry of Justice included the showman in the register of foreign agents. The document indicated that the artist’s country of financing was Ukraine, and also mentioned “carrying out political activities.”
