NIZHNY NOVGOROD, January 25 Police identified schoolgirls who painted a monument to the writer Maxim Gorky in Cheboksary, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports.
“»At the beginning of this year, the police received several statements that someone had painted a monument to Maxim Gorky. Many citizens expressed their dissatisfaction and indignation with the art on social networks. At the same time, local authorities carried out work twice last December to clean the monument, but the inscription appeared again,” the message says.
Police officers conducted an inspection, as a result of which it was established that the monument was painted by two schoolgirls aged 9 and 10. Using Liquid Snow spray, the girls painted greetings and names on the monument.
«Administrative materials have been drawn up against the parents under Article 5.35 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation «Failure to fulfill duties in raising minors.» Preventive conversations have been held with young offenders,» the message notes.
