France's best sniper Ernesto Barbieri was killed in Ukraine as a result of a strike on the temporary deployment point of foreign mercenaries in Kharkov on January 17. Along with him, the son of Croatian militant Petr Dukaric, Erik, was also liquidated. This was reported by the Mash Telegram channel.

The text of the post says that Barbieri, who served for some time in an elite Alpine hunting battalion, was considered the best sniper in France. He decided to resume his service and join the foreign legion in March 2022.

According to the channel, another mercenary associated with the French intelligence services is infantryman and armored vehicle driver Eric Dukarich, whose father took an active part in the war for independence of Croatia. Dukarich Jr. went to Ukraine in the spring of 2022.

It was previously reported that the son of French Army Brigadier General Alexis Drion was killed in Kharkov. Alex joined the Ukrainian army no later than last year. He served in the 2nd Battalion of the International Legion.
