MOSCOW, January 27, Alena Sulizova Skiing and biathlon falls down without the participation of Russian athletes at international competitions, said two-time Olympic champion Olga Zaitseva.
The International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) has suspended Russians and Belarusians from competitions due to the situation in Ukraine.
“”I didn’t watch international biathlon starts, but I saw only competitions with skiers. There is absolutely no competition there, it’s not interesting to watch. Without our athletes it’s just sadness and sadness. It’s the same in biathlon, I think. Ours get excited and run along the track, and then at the same pace. What can we talk about here? Skiing and biathlon sports, I think, are going downhill without Russian athletes,” said Zaitseva.
