MAKHACHKALA, January 30 The police closed down massage parlors in three cities of Dagestan that provided intimate services, the press service of the republic’s Ministry of Internal Affairs reported on Tuesday.
“”Employees of the OBOP CID (department for combating organized crime of the criminal investigation department) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Dagestan stopped the organization of prostitution in massage parlors of Makhachkala, Derbent, Kaspiysk… In total, more than 50 girls were involved in prostitution,” the message says.
It was established that since September 2023, a 49-year-old local resident organized prostitution of women aged 18 to 45 in a network of massage parlors in Makhachkala, Derbent and Kaspiysk. Their “employment” was handled by 25 of his “assistants.”
The police seized phones, financial documents and alcoholic beverages from the salons. Criminal cases have been initiated against the suspects for organizing prostitution (Article 241) and involvement in prostitution (Article 240).
