    Large businesses unite to train cybersecurity specialists

    Tinkoff and Positive Technologies announce cooperation in the field of training cybersecurity specialists at the Central University. In February, the first joint educational program for current and future employees of the SOC (Security Operations Center) will be launched, and within a year – a master's degree in information security.

    The goal of the project is to fill the shortage of personnel in the field of information security (IS), which exists for Russian businesses in the context of a rapidly growing number of cyber threats. The joint educational initiative combines many years of expertise of both companies in the field of effectively countering hacker attacks of varying complexity.

    The training will take place at the Central University – the first STEM university in Russia, created with the support of the largest Russian companies. Experts from other technology companies from the IT, information security and financial technology industries will be involved in the programs, which will allow students to gain the widest possible range of practical skills.

    The first in a series of educational programs will launch a course to train SOC (Security Operations Center) specialists responsible for security monitoring and incident response. Innostage, a developer and integrator of services and solutions in the field of digital security, joined the development and implementation of the program.

    The educational program is designed for final year students in the areas of IT and information security who have completed internships or have initial experience in the field of information security. The course will also be useful to first-line SOC analysts who want to improve their skills in threat analysis and hunting.

    The program starts on February 16 and will last six months. Students will go through five stages:

    1. Bootcamps – familiarization with attacks in practice;
    2. Immersion in the specifics of the work of a cybersecurity specialist, building a methodological and process base;
    3. Studying hacker methods. Students will take on the role of attackers and understand attack methods;
    4. Study defense methods;
    5. Defend a final project that involves attacking and investigating an IT system
