    The San Jose coach praised the Russian defender’s performance

    MOSCOW, January 31 Head coach of the San Jose Sharks “David Quinn believes that Russian defenseman Shakir Mukhamadullin, who played his second match in the National Hockey League (NHL), is playing confidently.
    Mukhamadullin On January 25, he was called up by San Jose from the farm club of the American Hockey League (AHL). He played two games in the NHL, averaging more than 20 minutes of ice time. The Sharks beat the Seattle Kraken 2-0 on Wednesday.
    “I thought he was playing with confidence again. He gets the puck, he has the puck, he handles it, he makes good decisions. I really liked what I saw today,” Quinn was quoted as saying by San Jose Hockey Now.

    Previously, a native of Ufa played in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) for the Ufa Salavat Yulaev, playing 186 matches and scoring 45 points (13 goals + 32 assists). At the international level, he represented Russian youth teams of different ages. Mukhamadullin was selected by New Jersey in the first round of the 2020 draft.
