MOSCOW, March 5 Users of the social networks Facebook* and Instagram*, owned by Meta*, from different countries are complaining about large-scale disruptions in the work of social networks, according to data from the Downdetector website, which monitors failures and disconnections of popular Internet resources.
According to the site, problems with Facebook* and Instagram* began at approximately 18.17 Moscow time. The largest number of complaints about problems with both services comes from the United States — more than 125 thousand and 17 thousand, respectively. In addition, about 5.6 thousand complaints were received separately about failures in Facebook Messenger.
There are also reports of failures from the UK, Italy, Germany, France, Spain and a number of other countries.
The largest number of Facebook* users complain about failures during authorization, as well as the operation of the application and website. Instagram* reports problems with the application, when displaying the news feed, as well as errors during authorization.
