Young musicians from five countries and the Butman jazz orchestra performed at the Navy

SIRIUS, March 3. Participants of the World Youth Festival attended a performance by People's Artist of the Russian Federation Igor Butman and his Moscow Jazz Orchestra, who played on stage together with leading soloists of youth jazz groups from other countries as part of the project «Jazz Stage of the Future», the correspondent reports.
«We also have a lot of guests, from five countries, and now we will also unite them with our music, we will improvise,» Butman said before the performance.

Butman called such a joint performance international integration of cultures and friendship of peoples.

«When we improvise, we speak the same language — each with its own accent, but everything is about friendship, peace, love and happiness,» the artist added.
The concert featured, among other things, Butman's composition «French Connections» with the participation of a guitarist from India. In the last composition “Caravan” the audience heard all the foreign guests of the festival: a guitarist from India, a trumpeter from Armenia, a pianist from Uzbekistan, saxophonists from Thailand and Turkey.
For the World Youth Festival in Sirius, a special project of the festival “Jazz Stage of the Future” was created, in which musicians from five countries take part.

For the first time, musicians from Istanbul West Side Collective from Turkey, EVN Jazz Quartet from Armenia, SAS from India, Jazzirama from Uzbekistan and MSU Jazz Band from Thailand. The musicians took part in a gala concert as part of the Festival together with the Moscow Jazz Orchestra.

The World Youth Festival takes place from March 1 to 7 in the federal territory of Sirius by decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin. The organizer of the festival is Rosmolodezh.
