Media: Russia has found an easy way to destroy expensive weapons from the United States

MOSCOW, March 6. Russia is destroying expensive Abrams tanks with cheap Ghoul drones, writes Asia Times.
“Since February 28, the Russians have destroyed three Abrams tanks. <…> The first two were shot down by cheap Russian drones. < …> The drone costs about $500. It is made of plastic, and some of its parts are 3-D printed. The Abrams tank costs more than ten million dollars,» the material says.

It is noted that the drone can communicate with a related relay drone, which increases its range and makes it effective in hilly and built-up areas.

The author of the article adds that drones have also been used to destroy Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, more than 50 of which have already been destroyed.
M1 Abrams is the main battle tank of the United States, serial production began in 1980. It is in service with the American Army and Marine Corps, as well as the armed forces of Egypt, Australia, Morocco and some Middle Eastern states. The M1 Abrams is one of the heaviest tanks, its combat weight exceeds 62 tons. It is equipped with a 120 mm smoothbore gun. The tank has strong armor only at the front, a powerful engine with high fuel consumption and heat radiation, manual loading of the gun instead of automatic, a vulnerable additional engine and a high price.
< br />On Wednesday, the commander of one of the armed forces units performing tasks in the Avdeevsky direction reported that the Russian military knocked out another Abrams tank with the first shot.

Earlier, the Ministry of Defense reported the destruction of two Abrams tanks in the special operation zone. One of them was knocked out using Ghoul kamikaze drones. As a representative of the manufacturer of these drones said, the vehicle came very close to the positions of the Russian military, who shot down its track with an RPG-7 grenade launcher. Then they used two UAVs and burned the stopped tank.
The United States promised to transfer 31 Abrams to Kyiv, the media reported the start of deliveries in September last year. At the same time, as The Wall Street Journal wrote, Ukrainian officials admitted that the appearance of these vehicles in the Armed Forces of Ukraine would not be able to change the situation at the front.
The Kremlin has repeatedly emphasized that the Abrams tanks supplied to Ukraine will burn, like other Western technology.
