Most recently we made renderings of the new Lada Iskra station wagon, and now we have the opportunity to look at all the details of the appearance of the sedan body.< /p>
Even the year before last it became known that AVTOVAZ was developing a new budget family that would replace the Granta model. The latter, by the way, based on sales results for February of this year, became the best-selling car in the country with an almost twofold advantage over the second place, which is occupied by another brainchild of the Russian car plant — Vesta. What will be the successor to the bestseller?

Thanks to published patent images, the appearance of the upcoming new product is no longer a secret. The design is made in the current style of the company and is very reminiscent of Vesta. At the front, the most noticeable difference is the slightly more complex shape of the headlights; at the side, there are differently made stampings on the wings and doors. In addition, instead of windows behind the rear doors, there will be blank plastic inserts. The easiest way to recognize the new Lada model will be from the rear view, since original lights will appear here, not similar to other models of the company.

One of the most significant differences from Vesta and the current Grant will be the platform — Iskra will be built on a modified CMF-B “trolley” developed by Renault (in its original form it is used by the third generation Logan, for example). As for the engine range, it will overlap with other current Lada models.

Meanwhile, AVTOVAZ recently began producing Vesta with a more powerful engine and automatic transmission.
