The serial Audi Q6 e-tron crossover has been illuminated, its premiere is coming soon

The new electric SUV will share a platform with the recently introduced second-generation Porsche Macan. The new Audi will have a dual-engine all-wheel drive version.

The Audi Q6 e-tron electric cross was expected on the market last year. However, due to problems at the Volkswagen concern with software, the release of the model was postponed, so that in 2023 only a disguised prototype was shown to the public. At the same time, to sweeten the pill, Audi has declassified the SUV’s serial interior. And now the commercial Q6 e-tron is finally completely ready: the first teaser has been published and the presentation date has been announced. More precisely, two dates. Thus, the European office of the brand scheduled the debut of the Q6 e-tron for March 18, and the Chinese office for the 19th. However, this is most likely due to a banal time difference.

The picture is dark, as it should be. But, apparently, the assembly line version will not differ in appearance from last year’s show car. By the way, the design turned out to be, if not boring, then banal: many Chinese electric trains look more impressive. Inside there is a curved two-screen display; for an additional fee, a separate display is provided for the front passenger. On the driver's door there will be a remote control with settings for mirrors, exterior optics and seats.

The Audi Q6 e-tron will be based on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) with an 800-volt electrical system. The electric Porsche Macan, which debuted earlier this year, is built on the same platform. The brand itself has not yet provided any other details about the filling. German specialized media write that the Audi crossover will be offered with a dual-engine unit with a total power of 380 hp, and the SQ6 version will supposedly have an output of at least 490 hp. It is assumed that the SUV will receive a battery with a capacity of 100 kWh, a power reserve of more than 600 km on the WLTP cycle.

Recall that the Audi range also includes a purely gasoline crossover Q6. It has nothing to do with the upcoming SUV: the model with an internal combustion engine was made specifically for the Chinese market, and its closest relative is the Volkswagen Teramont.
