After restyling, the “traditional” five-door lost its top engine, while the hybrid will have a new installation.
The modernized Changan Uni-V liftback was announced in February, and now sales have started in China. It is curious that the manufacturer himself previously promoted the hybrid model, but the purely gasoline five-door will be the first to enter the market: the electrified version will reach local dealers later. Let us remind you that Uni-V appeared in the company’s range in 2022, in Russia it has been legally present since 2023 — and only in the “traditional” modification.

The liftback received a new front bumper; the top “sport” version now has rectangular dual exhaust pipes instead of oval ones. Changan Uni-V has retained the frameless radiator grille, but from now on there are no “strokes” on it, but many small triangles. As before, the five-door has a retractable spoiler. The length of the model has increased by 40 mm to 4720 mm, the wheelbase has not changed — 2750 mm. By the way, the hybrid has a similar design, which is presented in China under a separate brand Qiyuan: this five-door car bears the index A06.
In the cabin, only the decor and finishing materials became different. The base includes LED optics, 18-inch wheels, the same spoiler, virtual instrumentation and multimedia system, climate control, all-round cameras, adaptive cruise control, auto braking and lane keeping systems. The top-end Uni-V also has a car parker, wireless charging, heated and ventilated driver's seat, “memory” of seat settings, face recognition systems and blind spot monitoring.

In China, the liftback lost its 233-horsepower 2.0 turbo engine and a classic eight-speed automatic transmission (this pair was not available in the Russian Federation). Now Changan Uni-V is available only with a 1.5 turbo-four with 188 hp. (on the Russian version the engine produces 181 hp) in combination with a seven-speed robotic gearbox with two clutches. Note that the hybrid will have a new installation — based on the naturally aspirated 1.5 (110 hp), while the pre-reform gas-electric liftback will have a turbo engine of the same volume (170 hp). In any case, the drive is only front-wheel drive.

In the home market, the modernized Changan Uni-V is available in four trim levels, and the prices of three of them have not changed: 108,900 – 123,900 yuan (about 1.39 million – 1.59 million rubles at the current exchange rate). And the top version has become more affordable (meaning the model with 1.5T) — now 124,900 instead of 131,900 yuan (1.6 and 1.69 million rubles, respectively).
