The Bavarian manufacturer will very soon show another concept crossover, which will be called Vision Neue Klasse X.
About The fact that the German company is preparing for the imminent presentation of a conceptual novelty became known at the end of last week. It is expected that it will be an all-electric crossover, which will be based on the new BMW platform. It is known that the new show car has been given the name Vision Neue Klasse X, it will be shown tomorrow, March 21, as part of the company’s annual conference.
Apparently, it is closely related to the Vision Neue Klasse concept sedan presented in September last year, which is considered the prototype of the future BMW 3 series electric train. The announcement was accompanied by a single teaser, which showed part of the white and orange interior of the future electric car. The photo focuses on the infotainment system's touchscreen, which has an unusual but recognizable shape.

Thus, the touch screen has the same hexagonal shape as that installed in the BMW Vision Neue Klasse show car. Probably, other interior features could have been carried over from the conceptual sedan. This means that the X variant could receive a new generation iDrive system, and the virtual instrument panel will likely be the BMW Panoramic Vision display located at the bottom of the windshield. Note that the driver can use the multimedia screen to select the information that will be displayed on it.
Now the Bavarian manufacturer has published a short video revealing the appearance of the new product. The teaser, in particular, showed the signature narrow “nostrils” of the plugs that the BMW Vision Neue Klasse X concept will receive. Visually, they differ from similar elements in BMW models due to the repeated frames, as if going deeper.
There is a possibility that the Vision Neue Klasse X concept will subsequently form the basis of the next generation BMW iX3. The production of a completely “green” version of the X3 crossover began in 2020, and now the company is developing a new generation of this model. According to preliminary data, during the generation change, this “electric SUV” will switch to the Neue Klasse platform. It is expected that the model will have more compact and lighter lithium-ion batteries of the next generation: they will be able to provide the SUV with a range of up to 800 km without recharging.
So far there are no other details about the “green” new product. Presumably, the fourth generation BMW X3 will have petrol, diesel versions, as well as options with hybrid power plants. As it became known earlier, such an SUV may be larger than the current version. It is expected that mass production of the next generation BMW X3 will begin in August of this year.
