Recently, photographs of camouflaged samples of the new generation Korean flagship crossover were published on the Internet, which gave us a reason to imagine what it would look like .
The first and only generation Palisade mid-size crossover was presented in November 2018 at the Los Angeles Auto Show. It became the production version of the HDC-2 Grandmaster concept, demonstrated in the summer of the same year. The premiere of the updated SUV took place in April 2022, and now the Korean company is testing the next generation of the model.

For now, the bodies of the prototypes are hidden under a thick layer of camouflage, but some details can already be seen. First of all, the front part will change radically. The crossover will receive large blocks of headlights built into the bumper, and above them along the hood there will most likely be an LED strip of daytime running lights. The new Palisade will be easily recognizable by the A-pillars, which will be “hidden”, like on the new Santa Fe. It’s as if the triangular windows opposite the side mirrors were taken from him. Judging by spy photos, Hyundai's flagship crossover will lose one of its signature design elements — wide pillars behind the rear doors, made in body color. The side glazing will become more strict in shape, and its upper border will be made almost horizontal. It is quite possible that door handles will be retractable in the latest fashion. As for the rear part, vertical blocks of lights and a license plate niche are still visible through the camouflage, which will remain in place. We have depicted an option with a horizontal LED strip in the upper part, which echoes the front optics and is inherent in most new models of the brand.

The crossover is expected to be built on a new platform. Nothing is known about the engine range yet, but it can be assumed that the Palisade will receive a number of new hybrid modifications. The current SUV on the American market is offered with a petrol “aspirated” V6 3.8 GDI (295 hp), which is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The drive can be either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. On the home market in Korea there is also a modification with a 2.2 four-cylinder turbodiesel with a power of 202 hp.
