PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY, March 27 The investigative department of the Russian Investigative Committee for the Kamchatka Territory charged a deputy of the city of Elizovo, who simultaneously serves as the head of this municipality, with hooliganism, he was placed under house arrest, the department's press service reported.
«A deputy of the Assembly of Deputies of the Elizovsky urban settlement, who committed hooligan acts against a person suppressing a violation of public order, was charged with committing a crime under Part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The defendant was chosen as a preventive measure in the form of house arrest,» — the message says.
We are talking about Artem Gagloshvili, who is now not only a deputy, but also the head of the Elizovsky urban settlement. He was elected to this position on November 30, 2023.
Previously, the investigative department of the Russian Investigative Committee for the Kamchatka Territory opened a criminal case on this fact. According to the investigation, on the night of July 23, 2023, Gagloshvili started a fight at one of the recreation centers in the Elizovsky district.
On February 7, 2024, he was expelled from the United Russia party for undermining the authority of the authorities. The decision of the political council on this was made after he was stopped by traffic police officers on February 1 and refused to undergo a medical examination for intoxication.
The city of Elizovo is the second largest settlement in Kamchatka. More than 36 thousand people live here.
