Fulham pulled out of the game of stopping the striker's signing on deadline day and it had the desired effect in a roundabout way. Rodrigo Muniz saw his place under threat and became the Premier League's most unlikely goalscorer this season.
His stoppage-time equalizer at Bramall Lane, a stunning scissor goal, was his eighth in as many games. Armando Broja, a £4 million loanee from Chelsea, was left out of the squad in what Marco Silva said was a «technical decision» and it is now clear who his main striker is.
22 Year-old Muniz could have gone out on loan at the start of the season after spending last season in the Championship with Middlesbrough, but he stayed on to compensate for the loss of Aleksandar Mitrovic and took his chance with Brocha's arrival.
“My teammates and coach helped me a lot with confidence, so I'm happy, but not really happy because we didn't win that game,” Muniz said. “I like it, but if we had won it would have been better.”
The Brazilian scored the goal despite only two days of training, having suffered an injury earlier during the international break. But he did his best to stay in shape and continue his scoring streak, which began two days after the start of the competition.

“He's had a tough week, he got injured 10 days ago and he's only trained for the last two days and it's been hard work for him and the medical staff. staff, but it was nice to see him last the full 105 minutes and help the team. It was a great finish and it’s not the first time we’ve seen something like this from him.”
Muniz hit the post twice but it was Sheffield United who struck first in a thrilling second half. They took advantage of Tosin Adarabioyo losing possession as he tried to play out from behind. Oli McBurnie was sent off down the left and his cross with the outside of his boot allowed Ben Brereton Dias to side-foot into the net.
Joao Palinha headed in an equalizer from Andreas Pereira's corner, but Chris Wilder's side pulled away with two quick goals. The roles were reversed from the first goal, with Brereton Dias passing to McBurnie to score his fifth goal of the season. Brereton Dias then scored another goal, after which Wilder ran down the touchline and threw spare footballs into the crowd.

His team cleverly switched play from right to left and Gus Hamer was given space to cross. Brereton Dias was at the far post and scored. He collided with Fulham goalkeeper Bernd Leno and complained of a hit to the face, and VAR reviewed the incident but took no action.
McBurnie's shot was ruled out for offside with the score at 4-1 and that turned out to be a turning point. Bobby De Cordova-Reid pulled one back with a strike from the edge of the box to set up a thrilling finale. To the ire of the home fans, 14 minutes were added, and Muniz's magic moment came from Adama Traore's cross.
«Last time I said I finished for a few quid, so I'll give my honest opinion to myself,» said Wilder, whose team at least completed their home run horror by losing 5-0, 5-0 and 6-0.
“We had to make sure we had to do something about the narrative of home form, conceding goals and going out after 25 minutes. But when you score three times at home in the Premier League and end up drawing, it's disappointing.»
