MOSCOW, March 31 The head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, held an operational meeting at the site of the terrorist attack in Crocus City Hall and checked the work of investigators, criminologists and experts, in including carrying out investigative actions with visitors to the concert hall, as reported in the Telegram channel of the RF IC.
“Today the head of the department held another operational meeting at the scene of the incident… Alexander Ivanovich Bastrykin checked the work of investigators, criminologists and experts at the scene of the incident, including the conduct of investigative actions with visitors to Crocus City Hall,” the message says.
Bastrykin also ordered to study the connections of all the defendants in the case of the terrorist attack in Crocus in order to identify by name the organizers and customers of the crime.
Shooting and fire occurred on the evening of March 22 before a concert at Crocus City Hall in Krasnogorsk near Moscow. A correspondent who witnessed the incident reported that several men in camouflage and without masks burst into the hall, they shot people at point-blank range and threw incendiary bombs.
According to the latest data from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, 144 people were killed. The twenty-fourth of March was declared a day of national mourning.
The four perpetrators of the terrorist attack were detained on March 23 in the Bryansk region. Russian President Vladimir Putin said that they tried to escape and were moving towards Ukraine, where a “window” had been prepared for them on the Ukrainian side to cross the border. The Moscow court arrested them, they are Dalerjon Mirzoev, Murodali Rachabalizoda, Faridun Shamsiddin and Muhammadsobir Fayzov, they were charged with committing a terrorist attack resulting in death as part of an organized group (clause «b» of part 3 of article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
< br />The President noted that a total of 11 people were detained, security forces are working to uncover the entire base of terrorists. According to him, the terrorist attack was carried out by radical Islamists. FSB Director Alexander Bortnikov noted that the Islamists alone could not have prepared this terrorist attack; they were helped. He noted that the primary data from the detainees confirms the Ukrainian trail; the Russian special services think that the United States, Britain and Ukraine are behind the terrorist attack.
Putin noted that Russia is faced not just with a carefully planned terrorist attack, but with a prepared and organized mass killing civilians. The President emphasized that all perpetrators, organizers and customers of this crime will suffer fair and inevitable punishment.
