Novikombank, the supporting bank of the Rostec State Corporation, has begun cooperation with the Far Eastern Center for Shipbuilding and Ship Repair (DSSS). In February, the corporation placed its first deposit with Novikombank, and in the near future it is planned to conclude an agreement to finance the construction of large-capacity vessels.
Novikombank and DCSS intend to join forces to develop the strategically important industrial project of the Zvezda shipbuilding complex — the first Russian large-scale shipyard intended for the production of ice-class vessels, special vessels and other types of marine equipment.
The project for the construction of the Zvezda shipbuilding complex is being implemented by a consortium of investors on behalf of the President and Government of the Russian Federation in the city of Bolshoy Kamen, Primorsky Territory. The construction operator is a large domestic oil company.
“Novikombank actively participates in programs aimed at implementing strategically important projects, including in the shipbuilding industry. Our main task is to provide our partners with the most profitable lending using government support instruments, facilitating the implementation of their production tasks. The signed agreement was a significant step in the development of this area and is designed to solve the problems of achieving technological sovereignty and strengthening the independence of our country,” emphasized Yulia Kovalenko, branch manager of Novikombank in Rostov-on-Don.
DCSS was created to combine ship repair and shipbuilding facilities in the Far Eastern Federal District. The center includes enterprises in the Primorsky Territory, in the city of Khabarovsk and Kamchatka, as well as in the city of Murmansk. Among the company's priorities are the implementation of an investment project for the construction of a modern shipbuilding complex, the modernization of existing production facilities and ensuring the competitiveness of manufactured products.
