Cars of the Chinese brand will reach dealers in the Russian Federation in the second quarter of this year. The prices of the new product will be announced closer to the start of sales.
The Haval brand, owned by the Chinese concern Great Wall Motor, is in demand on the Russian market: at the end of last year, it entered the top three brands with a result of 111,720 new cars sold, which more than triple the figure for 2022. Now the company has announced another addition to the local model line — sales of the brutal H3 crossover will soon start in the Russian Federation.

In the home market, the model, which was given the name H3 in the Russian market, is sold under the name Haval KuGou, which can be translated as Cool Dog or “Cool Dog”. The crossover is a relative of DaGou (that is, Big Dog or “Big Dog”), and in the Russian Federation this car is sold as Dargo. KuGou entered the Chinese market in the summer of 2022, and the SUV will become available to Russians in the second quarter of this year.
The Haval H3 has a massive radiator grille with a pattern in the form of two rows with large silver vertical brackets, separated by a horizontal black crossbar, and on the side of it are round headlights with an unusual LED pattern. The crossover was equipped with a voluminous body kit around the perimeter of the body made of unpainted plastic, including “squared” linings on the wheel arches.
The Chinese SUV has traditional exterior mirrors on separate legs with turn signal repeaters, regular door handles, a relief hood, black roof rails, original 18-inch wheels, vertical lights, as well as a decorative trim on the tailgate and a spoiler in the upper part of the stern with an integrated brake light.

The local Haval office noted that the H3 is slightly longer than 4.5 meters. As Kolesa.ru reported earlier, the Haval KuGou has an overall length of 4520 mm, a width of 1875 mm, a height of 1745 mm, and a distance between the axles of 2710 mm. It is known that the ground clearance of the crossover, which will soon enter the Russian market, is 196 mm, the approach angle is 24 degrees, and the departure angle is 26 degrees. The model has a MacPherson strut suspension at the front and an independent multi-link at the rear.On the Russian market, the Haval H3 will be offered with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. Under the hood is a gasoline 1.5-liter turbo engine, in the first case its output is 143 hp. (maximum torque – 210 Nm), in the second – 177 hp. (270 Nm). In any of the options, a seven-speed robot with two “wet” clutches is offered in pairs. The engine complies with the Euro 5 eco-class.
The list of equipment includes a full “winter package”, seat memory function, front, side and rear view cameras, transparent hood projection technology, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping and a number of other driver assistants. The car was also equipped with a sound system “with a 4D effect” with 16 speakers installed throughout the cabin, including in the ceiling.
The company will announce prices for the Haval H3 closer to the start of sales. According to the price list on the official website of the brand, its closest relative, the Haval Dargo, now costs at least 3,049,000 rubles in the Russian Federation, and for the Dargo X they are asking for at least 3,349,000 rubles.
