All previously presented configurations have also become cheaper. As before, the model is offered with two engines to choose from.
The Russian division of Omoda (the brand is owned by Chery) has expanded the line of versions of the compact crossover C5: the model has a new “base” called Fun. That is, now the SUV has six versions – these are Joy, Lifestyle, Ultimate, Active and Supreme. Moreover, judging by the latest price list, other options have also become more affordable, and we are talking about cars produced in 2024. But first things first.
As before, the Omoda C5 SUV with a length of 4400 mm in Russia is available with two petrol turbo-fours. The Joy, Lifestyle, Ultimate, and now the basic Fun versions have a 1.5T engine with 147 hp, a CVT and front-wheel drive. Under the hood of the Active and Supreme variants there is a 150-horsepower 1.6T engine, which is combined with a seven-speed robotic gearbox with two clutches; these crossovers have standard all-wheel drive.
If we compare it with the previous “base” Joy, then in the Fun configuration the SUV lacks a full-size spare wheel, climate control (the new version has air conditioning) and wireless charging for a smartphone. Plus, this crossover has 17-inch wheels, while other versions have 18-inch ones. At the same time, the Omoda C5 Fun still cannot be called “poor”: the arsenal of the most affordable crossover still includes a heated windshield and windshield washer nozzles, heated front seats, a combined virtual instrument panel and a touchscreen multimedia system (each display is 10.25 inches diagonal), rear view camera, four airbags, drive mode selection and cruise control. Recommended price for the version Fun – 2,179,900 rubles (hereinafter prices are indicated without shares).

Starting with the Lifestyle version, the list of crossover equipment includes: LED headlights, electric tailgate, leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, six “airbags”, all-round cameras, a blind spot monitoring system and a navigator (by the way, cars of 2023 already have a navigator in the Joy package). With the next oldest version, Ultimate, adaptive cruise, auto braking, lane keeping, automatic headlight switching and rear cross-collision warning systems appear.
Omoda C5 2024 will go on sale soon.
