Kostygova is 23 years old. The athlete competes for the Yaroslavl region.

This not only harms the animal, but also can discredit equestrian sports and serve as a negative example for the younger generation present in the stands during the competitions in which the athlete participates,» Leachman said.
«Previously, the athlete received a disciplinary sanction. And if the first measures do not work, then more stringent ones have to be applied. Disqualification for a period of two years is a fairly serious sanction that is rarely used, since such a case is a blatant example of a cruel and unprofessional attitude towards a horse with side of the athlete,” she added.
