UFA, April 6 Two of the dead in Orsk, whose bodies were found in unflooded houses, are elderly men, the city mayor’s office reported.
Earlier, the government of the Orenburg region reported that while patrolling the area in the Old Town of Orsk, the bodies of two people were discovered; according to preliminary data, their deaths were not related to drowning.
Emergency services reported three deaths to the agency.
«According to our information, there are two dead. These are elderly men, their bodies were found in their own houses, there was no water in their homes,» the city mayor's office said.
Earlier, the Orsk mayor's office reported that a dam that protected the city from the Ural River had broken. There is a mass evacuation of people from the Old City.
In the Orenburg region, 2,556 residential buildings, 6,886 household plots were flooded, 4,208 people were evacuated, and 427 residents are in temporary accommodation centers (TAP), the press service of the governor and the regional government reported earlier.
