YEKATERINBURG, April 8 A suspect in the murder of a businessman, who was shot in front of his family with a firearm, was detained in Surgut (KhMAO), the defendant was charged, reports the regional department of the Investigative Committee RF in the Telegram channel.
«As a result of the well-coordinated work of law enforcement agencies, the location of the suspect was quickly established, and the man was detained by criminal investigation officers,» the message says.
It is noted that the 37-year-old defendant has been charged and searches have been carried out at his place of residence. Investigators filed a petition with the court for his arrest.
Earlier, the regional SUSC reported that on the evening of April 4, near the entrance of residential building No. 55 on Mira Avenue in Surgut, a 44-year-old man was killed on the spot with targeted shots from a firearm. The suspect fled and a murder case was opened.
As the press service of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs explained, a local individual entrepreneur was killed, he was shot in front of his wife and child, and the attacker was wearing a mask. According to the Security Department of the Surgut Administration, four bullets entered the businessman’s chest.
